This print is a collaboration between artist Jess Owens-Young, also known as JOY, and Arte Haus Studios, created to honor the enduring legacy of Oak Bluffs. Inspired by the town’s spirit of community, leisure, and cultural pride, the work imagines a golf club made just for the people of Oak Bluffs. The central figure, confident and grounded, emerged early in JOY’s vision, while the scene celebrates people of all genders coming together on the greens, reveling in the joy, freedom, and sense of belonging that defines this historic Black haven.
