For 32 years, Asheville native Miya Bailey has been a transformative force in Atlanta's art scene, weaving complex narratives through his distinctive visual language. As City of Ink approaches its 19th year, Bailey debuts the reopening of City of Ink's flagship location in the neighborhood of Castleberry Hill. Most known for his tattoo art, Bailey lives a beacon for artists to see how investing art can influence a community. The ecosystem stemming from City of Ink lends itself to hosting the neighborhood art strolls, Art classes, Jam Sessions, Yoga and other gatherings that bring people closer to their artistic, expressive selves. Peters Street Station, Old Rabbit Gallery and Nina Baldwin Gallery are the brain children of Bailey and are the stages for what the art talent of Atlanta have to share. Bailey envisions that when artists work together they solve the problems we have in community, repairing how we treat each other and improving our way of living.
