UNKWNZJ Collection
Zandra Jack, known professionally as UNKWNZJ, is a Toronto-based digital and mixed-media artist whose practice reimagines identity, culture, and beauty through bold, emotionally rich storytelling. Her work seamlessly merges digital illustration, acrylic painting, and hand-applied gold leaf on canvas to create striking mixed-media compositions rooted in Black resilience, pride, and vibrancy. Drawing inspiration from Caribbean culture, everyday life, and the strength of her community, Zandra crafts visuals that honour the depth and diversity of Black experiences. By intentionally enlarging and exaggerating features, her work challenges limiting stereotypes while presenting new visions of power, softness, joy, and self-expression. Each piece invites viewers to pause, reflect, and see beauty from a refreshed, liberated perspective. Through her evolving practice, Zandra continues to push boundaries, celebrate cultural storytelling, and redefine contemporary Black art.
